Many of BG’s Automotive Maintenance Services are backed by the Lifetime BG Protection Plan®. We believe in the process, application and quality of our automotive maintenance products and services so much that we offer guaranteed coverage on most of the parts maintained using BG Products at recommended service intervals. For example, if you get a BG Power Steering Service and the lubricated parts in your power steering fail, BG will automatically cover the failed parts for up to $4,000.
When performed according to the manufacturer suggested intervals, preventative maintenance will help you avoid the need for costly repairs and extend the life of your vehicle. In the back of your owners manual are suggested maintenance intervals for all of the wear and tear components of your vehicle. Following these suggested intervals will help keep your vehicle operating safely and insure you get the most life from your car, truck, or SUV.
You may have heard a lot about “low cost of ownership” lately. Honestly, it sounds like a great deal! In fact, it would be great if every major purchase we made had a low cost of ownership: car, house, dog. But if you don’t invest any money into maintaining your car, house, or dog, sooner or later you’d would likely have engine failure, termites, and your dog may contract fleas or worse.
This scenario takes low cost of ownership to the extreme, but isn’t that pretty much what manufacturers are promising when they promote a car that’s low cost to own? Here’s what they’re thinking, “minimal maintenance dollars spent equals customer enjoying a vehicle that costs very little to own.” According to some manufacturers, it could be 10,000 miles (16,000 km) before you see your customer on the service drive for the first oil change.
We aren’t saying we should all go back to the 3,000-mile (4,800 km) oil change, but a lot can happen in that first 10,000 miles (16,000 km).
Longer time between oil changes puts a lot of stress on engines and engine oil. Undue stress on an engine puts undue stress on the customer. Unless the oil is strengthened to protect longer against high heat, deposits will form and cause expensive damage on engine components. And, expensive engine damage is a good reason you to never buy a “low cost to own” vehicle from that dealer again.
NEW BG Engine Assurance® protects drivers who choose to go longer between oil changes. BG Engine Assurance® backs BG Extended Life MOA,®PN 115, an oil fortifier designed to help vehicles safely cruise far beyond that 3,000-mile (4,800 km) oil change interval.
If an eligible component in the engine and/or fuel system fails, BG will reimburse you for the cost of replacement or repair. Vehicles can qualify for up to $6,000 in engine and fuel system coverage! To keep that vehicle low cost to own, maintain your car by getting BG oil changes with BG Extended Life MOA® every 10,000 miles (16,000 km).
My service garage and fleet have been operating and using BG products for the last three years. I was referred to BG after one of its representatives, Jason Allen, stopped into my facility to discuss gasoline direct injected engines. This visit and discussion were timely in that we had picked up our 2014 Chevy Impala from the local Chevy dealership, where they were telling me that there was so much carbon buildup on my vehicle (which only had 20,000 miles), that they were going to have to rip the head off to repair it. Because I have put so much trust and confidence in BG’s products last year I was given the opportunity to visit BG Headquarters in Wichita. The attention to detail and information provided to me by my Sales Representative was truly amazing. In my shop, we treat all of our diesel fuel, gasoline, and oil with BG products. The main issues seem to begin in the winter but have subsided with the use of BG products. However, when we do have to address a drivability issue failure, we can attest to the fact that the system is clean. I can (without fail) say that I am proud to partner with BG Products and its sales representatives.
I have a 2004 Stingray boat with the 3.0 MerCruiser® engine in it. Since I bought it in 2006, the gas engine produced a huge amount of blow-by which forces oil from the fill cap and produces quite a mess. This season, I ran a can of BG EPR® through it at 2000 RPM for 45 minutes to try to solve the blow-by issue. Draining the oil and adding BG MOA® after, I took the boat out for the day and upon returning home found the top of the engine completely clean and oil free. BG EPR® is an amazing product of which I recommend and sell to my customers and my personal experience with my boat solidifies my belief in your products. Thanks for being on the forefront of fluid technologies.
I used your BG 44K® product in my 2008 Honda Accord. All I can say is WOW the power restored is unreal. You get what you pay for, the stuff is unreal!
